As we head into August, take a moment to reflect on summer 2021. With the world returning to a sense of normalcy, it has been a welcome change to get out of the house and enjoy the temperate weather.
Did you make it to the beach this year? Even if you didn’t get to relax along the coast, our featured coffee recipe provides that refreshing feeling everyone needs. Coffee lemonade may not immediately sound the most appetizing, but after you taste this delicious combination, it may be your new sunny day go-to.
As you can probably guess, coffee lemonade is a mixture of iced coffee and lemonade, with one more secret ingredient. Instead of solely using lemons, we recommend both orange and lemon juice to accompany your drink. You can even try replacing sugar with delicious natural honey. Delish!
Maybe this all sounds like a lot in one drink, but as they say, don’t knock it unless you try it! Presenting our coffee lemonade recipe, with help from our friends over at milkandpop.com.
Coffee Lemonade Step-By-Step
- 1 cup coffee (cold brewed, or brewed after it reaches room temperature)
- ½ cup orange juice
- ⅓ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- ⅓ cup honey
- About 2 cups ice cubes
“Mix coffee, orange juice, lemon juice, and honey in a jar and stir.
You can use a shaker or blender to make it easier for the honey to combine.
Serve in tall glasses, half-filled with ice cubes.”
