We are often asked the difference between Light and Dark Roasted Coffee. We realized that there seems to be some misconceptions about the two. We hope this short video explains some of the differences!
Hi, I’m Marianne, and welcome back to Cupa Cabana TV. Today, we’re going to talk about the difference between light and dark roast.
There are a lot of misconceptions about this topic. Most people assume that a dark roast is stronger in taste and has more caffeine than a light roast. Well, part of that is true. While the taste usually is strong and bold, it actually has less caffeine than a light roast. The reason for this is very simple. A dark roast is roasted longer, and the caffeine is essentially cooked out. So that makes the light roast having more caffeine than a dark roast.
Now, you can impress your friends with this coffee tidbit. Thanks for watching.
